Pre-gamescom Series | Episode 4: QC Is the Last Line Before the Public Sees It

The Invisible Work Behind Every Gamescom Trailer is our four-part series exploring everything that happens after a trailer is approved and before it reaches players around the world. Each episode focuses on one often overlooked part of multimedia localization that can make or break a global launch.

A trailer can look perfect inside the project and still fail once it’s exported. Missing fonts, subtitle glitches, incorrect language versions, blurry logos or technical issues often don’t appear until the very last stage of production.

In Episode 4 of our Pre-gamescom Series, Lara explains why quality control is one of the most important steps in multimedia localization. Before an asset reaches players, every language version, subtitle, visual element and technical specification needs to be reviewed to make sure everything works exactly as intended.

QC isn’t just about spotting mistakes. It’s about verifying that every deliverable is ready for the platform, the market and the audience it’s meant for. Especially around gamescom, where deadlines are tight and launch schedules leave little room for error, that final review can make all the difference.

At Loc & Capture, quality control is the last step before delivery, helping publishers launch multilingual campaigns with confidence.
